Marin County Jail

By Jacky Salas

Rebuilt from the original prison in 1994 by Civic Center architect Frank Lloyd Wright's student, Aaron Green, this renovation to an underground jail was to address the overcrowding issues of the original jail. Additionally, the issues of the jail's renovation on the environment, citizen, and the civic center's aesthetic also proved to be a controversy.
